Our Adult Rowing programs
2023 Adult LEARN TO Row
Three day introduciton
- Learn very basics of sweep rowing
- Experience on-water training
- All boats will include experienced club rowers
- Registration through Jefferson Park and Recreation website at: www.jeffersonwi.recdesk
- Class 1: June 9-11
- Class 2: August 4-6
Adult Learn to SCULL
10 Weekday Evening Sessions over 2 weeks
- On-Water coaching of sculling skills
- Learn all techniques needed to be a member of a novice double or quad boat
- Balance, strength, endurance and teamwork are taught
Adult Rowing Immersion
Coaching leading to Competition
- Individual developent plan- typically about 3 months in length
- Learn both sculling and sweep rowing techniques
- Build skills to a level allowing competition in regattas
- Transition into full club competitive program
Experienced Rower Assesment
Short 1/2 day introduction to club and Skill assesment
- Allows individual with previous rowing experience to join the club as full member
- Brief coaching review discussing skill level
- Available to sculler or sweep rower
Remainder of Year club membership
Full club membership for Remainder of the year
- Full club access- recreational or competitve
- Included in scheduled team workouts
- No voting rights
- Use of club equipment, based on skill level
Full Annual Membership
Normal Club Membership
- Full club access- either recreational or competitive
- Included in scheduled team training
- Full voting rights and ability to serve on board or as officer
- Payable by March 31st of year
